First Flatfold Easel

I have been wanting to make one. Love this design...sooo summer!! The crab is my favorite part!

My version...

Before

After

of a stitcher's lap tray. I saw a pic of a stitcher's lap tray the other day online. I couldn't find one to buy, so I made one. The one I saw was a traditional lap desk with a bean bag bottom, and a tray made from a picture frame. I made my own version with a tray I found at an antique mall. I covered a piece of cardboard with magnet sheets and fabric and then glued it in the tray. It holds my current project, and keeps it all together. I do wish the magnet was stronger, but it serves the purpose of keeping everything together. A big shout out to my hubby who took the kids away for a few days, and I can be crafty with no interruptions! I had to work and couldn't go with them, but have enjoyed a few days of quiet at home!

Beach Cottage

Beach Cottage by Country Cottage Needleworks

I loved stitching this one and was excited to use this fabric I have had for awhile. I love the beach!!

Fourth of July Exchange

I love my exchange from Myra in NC. What a great group of stitchers!

Pillow Finish

I borrowed this idea from an exchange I received for Easter. It looks like a wrap for a pillow. It is much easier than making a piece into a pillow (interchangeable too!!) Thank you Amy for the great idea. The Holly Hobbie stitched piece is one I have had for awhile, my mom stitched it many years ago. I loved watching mom cross stitch and Molly likes to see how I finish pieces. One day this will be hers! I have lots more of my mom's stuff to finish--it is a great way to keep mom's memory present in our house.

Easter Exchange Gift Received

I loved my exchange for Easter from Amy in Fla. It is a pillow with the needlework sewn to cute fabric and wrapped around the pillow. What a great finish idea! I love it. I also got some stickers and wind up toys, Molly has already gotten into those! Also some chocolate covered sunflower seeds. YUMMY!! I am enjoying this group, both picking out something to stitch and receiving and getting ideas on how to finish projects.

Easter Exchange

This is what I sent for my Easter Exchange group. Can't wait to see what I get!

Valentines Exchange

I signed up for a Valentine's Exchange with a cross stitching group. Cross stitching has come so far from when I learned from my mom when I was little (maybe around 12 years old). The finishing techniques are so impressive! I love my exchange from a stitcher in Illinois. She sent a pillow and mini pillow and some floss. I love them!

I stitched this for my dad and step mom. They were married in Nov.2008. They have recently bought a new house, so hopefully they will have a great place to hang it.

Valentines Exchange

I participated in a Valentine's Stitching Exchange. I exchanged with a woman in South Dakota. can't wait to see what I get!
